Wedding

Bridal make up is an integral part of make up artistry, but it differs greatly from glamour, fashion or theatrical make up.

Keys roles of a bridal make up artist:

  • Long wearing foundation and concealer application

  • Achieving flawless skin

  • Bridal beauty eye make up

  • Basic tear-proof eyelining and mascara technique

  • Long wearing lipstick application

On your wedding day, I take the stress from you, as you don't want to be worrying about buying the right type of foundation or asking yourself if you have made the most of your features - thats my job! You also don't want to radically change your look or pile make up on especially if you are not used to wearing much make up.

To look your most beautiful you need to feel comfortable and have make up applied to allow your radiance and best features to shine through as well as lasting all day for all those photos and different lighting you'll be in. Technique, experience, the right products and tools are key to creating your perfect bridal look. My years of experience, not just hands on but in professional make up schools specialising in bridal make up, will create the perfect timeless look individually tailored for you.

Amy Elizabeth Bridal Package

  • A trial at a location of your choice - my studio or your venue/home.

  • Bridal make up on the day for you at the location of your choice – I stay until you are in your dress and are ready to leave for last minute touch ups for you and bridal party.

  • Tips for application and skincare advice.

  • A chart that includes a list of products used with facial map to show where applied.

  • A sample of lipstick we have decided on at trial.

  • Not forgetting the boys - A male grooming package is also available.

The Trial

Ideally one month before the wedding a trial is essential for you and for me to ensure the look and timing is perfect on the day itself. A trial can last as long as necessary but I would normally need about 1½ hours. Talking through the colour themes, the type of wedding you are having and seeing pictures of your dress and any pictures of make up that you like is very useful in communicating what you are aiming for.

The trial is held at a location of your choice and if preferred at a private studio in Taunton where we can take the time and privacy of going through your look step by step.

After everything has been agreed you will then receive a facial chart with products names and colour recommendations, in case you wish to purchase any make up I have used (I can help you with this if you would like).

The Wedding Day

On the day I will arrive in plenty of time and your wedding make up will usually take 1 hour. The make up is best applied at the venue where you are getting ready. It is applied after your hair as the final stage before dressing to make sure the make up looks fresh for the rest of the day. If possible a quiet peaceful area away from all the stress is ideal to make sure it's a fully relaxing experience.

If I am working alongside a hair stylist we will discuss timing together to work in with your schedule.

Evening make Up Service

Evening reception make up can also be booked for your wedding if you wish to change or intensify your make up for the party or would just like a general freshen up. The cost is based on what you individually require and can be discussed at the trial.
