François Nars the creator of the Nars line of cosmetics approach to make up was, and still is, revolutionary believing that makeup is not a mask and that the woman must shine through. I love this approach because as good make up artists know, make up should never be a mask - my job is to know that with the right products, colours and technique every women has a best feature that can be drawn out to flatter and enhance her so she can actually shine though.

I have an extensive kit because I find each brand excels in different areas. Bobbi Brown is one of the leading make up brands and one favoured by beauty editors for flattering foundations for older skins and for colours and textures that achieve natural radiant bridal beauty. Laura Mercier foundations win awards year after year and is known for her three steps to creating the ‘flawless face’. MAC has the best variation of eye colours and brushes in the business, Stila for beautiful colours and their fab lip glazes, Nars for his intense colours, and JKMS at Space NK from the make up schools own range.

As a MAC pro member I have access to professional beauty products and tools, not available from their stores. I am also a regular reviewer on makeupalley.com and on the review panels for both the Beauty Bible books and the Green Beauty Bible which keeps me up to date with all the latest skincare and cosmetic products, finding out what actually works through the brands I choose to work with.
