Wedding makeup is about looking like yourself at your most beautiful

‘Bobbi Brown’

On your wedding day – I take the stress from you! Your makeup needs to look perfect up close and on a high definition camera, lasting not just a few hours but all day and night. To look your most beautiful you need to feel comfortable and have your make up applied to allow your radiance and best features to shine through.

Technique, experience along with the right products and tools are key to creating your perfect bridal look. With over 8 years experience, I will create the perfect look individually tailored for you. My brides often tell me looking back, they know they would not of been able to do their own makeup due to nerves and excitement but also they needed that relaxation time just to sit back and be pampered with some Chanel lippie and a glass of bubbly in their hand knowing they would look amazing at the end.

Trials

A trial of how your wedding makeup look will be created after we have had a chat through your wedding day, I would love to see magazine clippings that have inspired you, material swatches and sketches. Some of you may have Pinterest boards set up so we can look at them on the day and share them with me prior to the trial. A trial is essential for you and for me to ensure the look and timing is perfect on the day itself.

A trial can last as long as necessary but I would normally need about 2 hours. Once the look is decided upon your products are noted on a face chart and a photo taken for my file. You can then purchase any of those products for a few little touch ups on the day.

Trials are held at my studio in Wellington, Somerset and are arranged once booking is confirmed.

Wedding Day Makeup

On the day I will arrive in plenty of time and your wedding make up will usually take 1 hour for each bridal party member. The timings will all be decided at trial and confirmed prior to the day. The make up is best applied at the venue where you are getting ready. It is applied after your hair as the final stage before dressing to make sure the make up looks fresh for the rest of the day. If possible a quiet peaceful area away from all the stress is ideal to make sure it’s a fully relaxing experience.

I bring my artist directors chair to set you by the best natural lighting so I know all blending and colours are perfect.

When you book a wedding with me the day is booked as yours exclusively, I leave only when you are in your dress. I’m often there making sure labels on shoes are removed, there are no tan lines showing on bridesmaids shoulders and the bride doesn’t walk out without her flowers. If I am working alongside a hair stylist we will discuss timing together to work in with your schedule.

I am solely a make-up artist and do not do hair. Often, on larger bridal parties, the make-up artist and hairdresser work on different people at the same time to ensure everyone is ready in time. I have hairdressers who I work with regularly and trust 100% that I can recommend to you if you would like their details.
