Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation – Review

photo

What I need in a foundation – medium coverage, radiant/dewy finish, lasting ability, photographs well and feels good on skin…come on down Armani Silk Foundation you gorgeous thing! This ticks all of the above category…If I’m being picky I have oily/combo skin and it would be great if this was just slightly more matt and I do have to powder a little through the day, but I am willing to give up my search for the foundation that means I don’t have to powder at all during the day and I’m happy to bring out a powder puff at lunch to wear this....as such it has found its way permanently into my makeup bag and not the foundation graveyard drawer! Dior Nude foundation came near to this, but sadly was way to oily for me, Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum foundation (great budget dupe) felt very similar, but again far, far too oily - this has just the right amount of radiance and soft focus effect to the skin that I love about a foundation.

Another gripe is the price at £32.00 a bottle, it’s a high end choice and yes and being in the countryside London would be my closest Armani counter (so not a quick drive then) and to pick my shade online took far too long out of my life looking at swatches and deciding on a colour, but if you know your skin undertones and what you are looking for it can be done.

Another great feature is the lack of SPF means no flashback, this photographs like a beauty, just flawless skin, even when you know your skin is lacking sleep and a bit down in the dumps, this for me is like beauty flash balm in a foundation and no one will ever know!

I could keep ranting on about my love for this but I hope I have convinced you enough if you need a new foundation and have the £££ or have a special occasion coming up where you need a foundation to last and photo amazingly for, treat yourself to this…go on…it will love you back
